Behold! My awesome collection of links!
- Information
- Wikipedia - A seriously good web site. It's a free online encyclopedia,
and it has information on everything. If you haven't heard of this before, be sure to check it out.
- Google - Who doesn't love Google?
- Snopes - The Urban Legend Reference Page. They research stuff you hear about often,
like if 'Ring Around the Rosie' is about the Black Plague, which it isn't. It's pretty amazing when you find out that something you thought was true
for a long time turns out to be false.
- The Urban Dictionary - A dictionary for slang terms conveniently located on the internet. Pretty spiffy, if I may say so myself.
- The Straight Dope - It's basically an archive of a lot of life's questions (and answers), including
stuff like "If all one billion Chinese jumped at once, would the earth be thrown out of its orbit?"
- Games
- Pogo Games - A game site I used to go to. Not sure how great it is these days, may be worth checking out.
- Paint by Numbers - An addictive logic game where you make pictures given some numbers. May not be for everybody. It's definitely not two-player.
- Crickler - Similar to crossword puzzles, and they add new ones everyday. It's something to do when you're bored.
- The Infamous Worm Game - It shall take over the world!
- Shockwave's Inklink - Pictionary-like game. Kind of fun.
- Addicting Games (.com) - A site with links to just a whole bunch of games. I'm sure you'll find something you like.
- Space Penguins! - Shoot penguins around planets using a giant slingshot.
- Reflections - Use mirrors and prisms to turn on the lightbulbs. Really spiffy game.
- Teagames' Blueprint - Use ramps and springs to make the ball hit the target.
- Yohoho! Puzzle Pirates - Because everybody needs more pirates in their lives.
- World of Sand - Draw plants and stuff and set them on fire. There's no real purpose, although it is entertaining.
- Buying Stuff
- Amazon - Mmm.. Amazon.
- Slick Deals - A site that lists big deals each day.
- DealCatcher - Similar to the above, but has a lot more.
- Awarestore - An online music store. I buy most of my vinyl stuff from here.
- eBay - Still a great place to buy stuff.
